Accessibility for Leaders

Compliance is the floor, not the goal. Talks about what happens when your organisation aims higher than the regulations.

Most organisations treat accessibility regulations as the finish line. You pass the WCAG audit, publish the statement, and the job is done. But compliance is just the bare minimum. It should never be the end goal, because it does not cover enough of the real accessibility and usability issues you’re likely to miss.

Talks in this series help leaders to understand what it takes to go further. To create a culture that treats accessibility as everyone’s job, rather than an audit at the end. To build a strategy that makes “done” mean more than the legal minimum, and to understand what’s lost when an organisation stops there. I cover things like the AAA criteria nobody implements, the disability employment and pay gaps that compliance alone doesn’t touch, and what true accessibility looks like in practice.
